Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." –Matthew 19:14

We want church to be a place everyone is encouraged to draw closer to Christ—young people included! That’s why, on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings we offer fun and engaging environments where children can learn and grow in faith as well. All our kids’ programs are designed to be safe places where children in our church can learn new and exciting things about God while being led and cared for by adult volunteers from our congregation. It’s our hope to encourage children to not only discover new things about God, but also begin to understand how those things matter in their own lives.

Sunday School

Following the Children's Message at the 10:30 service, those who choose will be let out from the Sanctuary to attend Sunday School. In their age appropriate classes children engage in lessons, crafts, music and activity centered around the day's Bible story.

For those who attend 8:30 worship, there is an option for 9:30 Sunday School.

On fifth Sundays, we cancel Sunday School classes so our children and Sunday School volunteers may be in worship.

Wednesday Faith in Motion

Our Wednesday night programming, Faith in Motion, begins with a family meal in Fellowship Hall from 6-6:30.   At 6:30, children ages preschool to 5th grade are dismissed to their classrooms.

All children will participate in classroom activities using Cokesbury's award-winning Deep Blue curriculum.  Deep Blue gives children of all ages a faith experience that will help them discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.  We use rotation style classes and children get to participate in a different rotation each week which include:  games, missions, cooking, science and crafts.  Children will participate in a lesson centered around the month's theme, then conduct a science experiment or work together as a team and make a fun recipe that ties in with the theme.  Every 4-6 weeks, we will have a new theme, some examples of the Deep Blue themes:  Rainbow Promise, The Road to Emmaus and Joseph Saves the Day.

Infants and Toddlers

We want parents to be able to fill their own need to seek, grow, serve and show. We provide childcare on Sundays during both the 8:30 CORNERSTONE and 10:30 PROCLAIM worship services. The nursery is also staffed for adult studies on Mondays and Wednesdays during the school year and as needed.
