Sunday Worship

At Broadway, we strive for worship experiences that help us all connect with the Divine and create space for the Spirit to work within every person who joins us – whether in person or online.  It is our prayer and purpose to see that worship drives the life blood of Broadway United Methodist.

Communion is served the first Sunday of the month and at some special services.

All are invited to Christ’s table.

Traditional Worship

8:30 AM

Organ, hymns, spoken responses, and special music from the Broadway Bells and the Broadway Choir.

Praise Worship

10:30 AM

Modern Christian songs led by Broadway’s Praise Band, a time of expression and readings and prayers.

Fifth Sunday

9:30 AM

Blended service with both traditional and praise elements.

Communion is normally served on the first Sunday of each month and at special times.  All are invited to participate.

All services are held in person and streamed live at

Ash Wednesday

February 14, 2024

Ash Wednesday traditions draws from ancient symbolism, where ashes are used to remind us of our origin—“dust to dust”—as seen in Genesis. The imposition of ashes on the forehead, often in the form of a cross, signifies both our need for forgiveness and the hope found in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Broadway UMC offers two opportunities to engage in the rituals of Ash Wednesday.

Drive Up

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Drive up to the east door of the church.  Stay in your car and Rev. Alexis will be there to greet you with imposition of ashes and a blessing.

Prayer Stations

6-7:30 PM

Come to the Sanctuary alone or with your family and friends for an interactive experience as we prepare our hearts for Lent. We serve a community meal in the Fellowship Hall from 6-6:45.

Lenten Worship Series

2024 Lent Series

Beginning in worship on February 18th, our time together in Lent will truly be a training ground in Spiritual Discipline. We’ll look at scripture, talk about the why, and briefly touch on the how. Then we will have a time in each service to try the discipline, when possible, for a brief time. When it is not possible to engage the discipline directly, there will be space for prayer, meditation, communion, and service.
