Rockin' Around the Clock Success StoryThanks so much for all who helped with the Sock Hop! It was a huge success! We especially want to thank those who decorated, served and prepared food, provided and purchased baskets and attended the event. We received media publicity, had people from the community attend and had our church family show up strong. With all the efforts, we have currently raised $10,000 for the Clock Tower with donations still coming in. Thank you! The planning committee will have a debriefing meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the DeLong Lounge and would love to have some help writing thank you notes to those who gave time and gifts. This event was a great example of how we can come together to have fun and be active in our community! |

Community Garden BlessingWe invite you to join us as we offer a brief blessing for the 2026 growing season at Broadway’s community garden. We will meet right after the 10:30 worship service at about 11:45 AM at the gardens located just east and north of the church on Benton Street across the alley from the Iowa State Extension Office. You can tour and ask questions as we bless God’s presence with us, the food to be shared with our neighbors, and a space for community.

AnnouncementsVolunteer opportunity If you would like to extend Broadway’s hospitality on Sunday morning this opportunity is for you! We are in need of additional coffee hosts for Sunday mornings. The duties include picking up donuts on Saturday morning from Maddox Bakery, preparing coffee, serving and cleaning up the kitchenette on Sunday morning. If you are interested please contact the office as soon as possible. Thank you in advance. Lori Scripture Reading Near the middle of each month an email is sent with the sign up schedule for Scripture Readers. The schedule is sent to those who have expressed an interest or have been scheduled to read in the past. If that is you and you are not getting the emails, please try the following: -Check your junk mail. Since these are sent from a list some providers automatically place my messages in your junk mail until you add my address to your contact list. May Scripture Readers 5-3 5-10 5-17 5-24 5-31 The June sign ups will be sent mid-May. If this is something new you would like to try, contact me and we will get you started.
