Broadway United Methodist Church Sanctuary
In a season that flaunts celebration and busyness and consumerism, you might find yourself longing for a place to gather with others to slow down enough to be with the grief and heaviness that many of us experience during the holiday season. Perhaps you are grieving the loss of a loved one, a change in life circumstances, or a diagnosis. Perhaps you are feeling lonely. Perhaps you are simply feeling like life is out of your control.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Come. Rest for a moment. Bring the burdens and grief you carry so we can carry the load together. Let us sing and read poetry. Let us be in the sacred silence. Let us light candles to remind ourselves that we are allowed to feel these things. We need not be afraid of the darkness.
We will provide warm tea, music, and candlelight. Feel free to bring anything else that feels comforting for you.
