Pastor Brian is an Elder in Full Connection from the Desert Southwest Annual Conference (Arizona and Southern Nevada region) of the United Methodist Church. He spent the better part of a decade serving the Spiritual But Not Religious community of Downtown Phoenix, remembering how to see God in all things, and how to offer the gifts of God to those who want nothing to do with the Church. This new chapter of ministry at historic Broadway United Methodist Church is a continuation of his call to blur the boundaries between the Church and the community it serves.

 

Brian is honored to be partner to Summer and father to two amazing kids who remind him that life is more than just his work. He has a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Arizona State University (GO SUNDEVILS!), and a Master’s of Divinity from Drew Theological Seminary. He lives with clinical depression, and abundant joy. He enjoys art, music, cooking, exploring nature, and engaging other people around their passions.
