At Broadway, teenagers are safe, cared for, and encouraged as they grow in their faith. We do our best to walk alongside them, meeting them where they’re at with patience, love, and honesty.
Last week, we reflected on those who turned their backs. This week, we find ourselves living right in the heart of Holy Week.
There’s something sacred about this Wednesday before Easter.
We’ve already waved the palm branches.
We know the cross is coming.
And yet today… we sit in the middle.
Because life often feels like this “in between,” doesn’t it?
Not quite in celebration.
Not quite in sorrow.
Just waiting… trusting… hoping.
In the Wesleyan tradition, we talk about grace not just as something that saves us, but something that walks with us before we know it, in the moment we receive it, and in the long journey of becoming who God calls us to be. This Wednesday reminds us of that steady, ongoing grace.
Even here, especially here.. God is at work.
While the world moved toward betrayal, Christ was moving toward redemption.
While fear and uncertainty grew, so did God’s unfolding plan of love.
And that same grace holds us now.
If you find yourself in a season of waiting, or in a place where God feels quiet, take heart. The story isn’t over. The work isn’t finished.
We are a people who believe in resurrection.
We are a people who trust that love has the final word.
So today, rest in the middle.
Trust in the grace that carries you.
And remember…
Sunday is coming.
