Threads of Prayer

This past Sunday a group met to organize a new creative opportunity. Led by Jan Moore, Threads of Prayer held their first get together in the Lounge. Each brought yarn or fabric squares and tools. 

The past few years we have been able to maintain our stash of baby blankets, prayer shawls and lap blankets and we are grateful for the individual contributions that have come in. That will not change. Yet if you prefer to spend an hour knitting and crocheting with friends, or if this is something you have always wanted to learn, you are invited to join with Thread of Hope as you are able.

Two groups have been arranged so far. A daytime community began meeting this week and will continue on the first and third Wednesdays at 1:00 PM in the DeLong Lounge. For those who are not available during the day a second group will be meeting the first and third Tuesdays at 7 PM beginning September 2, 2026.

Look for these groups to expand our reach with gifts of comfort and warmth.
