Longest Night InvitationSunday December 21 at 6:00 PM With each passing day, it seems we are collectively seeing vast uncertainty and chaos. Perhaps you notice yourself feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, carrying a weight you can’t fully describe. Perhaps you notice yourself wondering what is next. Personally, I notice myself wrestling with my own lack of control in a society that tells us to take the reins and make something of ourselves. I am noticing rushes of lament and sorrow arise within me along with joy and gratitude for the beautiful people and things in my life. I notice anger and exhaustion grasping at my body and soul. I notice the collective uneasiness we are experiencing in the waiting - in the dark. For more infomation visit: http://broadwayunitedmethodist.com/blog/longest-night-invitation

That's a WrapBoys and Girls Club Christmas Partnership The 2025 Boys & Girls Club Christmas Gift Drive was a huge success! Our congregation stepped up and wrapped up gifts, wishes and joy for 58 children! Marsha Hall at the Boys & Girls Club wrote this: "Again, thank you and the Broadway Church family for the generosity shown to our Club Kids this Christmas season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" Yes, thank you to all who donated, shopped and delivered gifts to bring a little extra magic to extra special children during an extra wonderful season! Merry Christmas! Find Your Joy- Wednesday, December 17, 2025 The old saying goes, “beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.” And while I agree, I also believe that joy lies in the eye of the beholder. And the heart, too. I started a challenge, cleverly entitled, Carey’s Christmas Challenge on my personal Facebook page. I’ve challenged my friends to post something each day that gives them joy. It’s hard to focus on something that makes you happy when you are focused on finding that perfect gift for that special someone or another Christmas task. Each day so far, my friends have posted everything from pictures of grandchildren, Christmas trees, a text from a deployed soldier, cute kitchen utensils and a lot more! I look forward to seeing what my friends will post each day. For more infomation visit:

Johnny Lynn Williams The Wednesday Women’s Book study took a break from their normal meeting to help create pudding cups decorated to become snowmen and reindeer. The pudding cups were delivered to the Longfellow staff to give them a tasty boost in the days leading up to the winter break. Many thanks to them for their time and talents.
