Each year before Halloween, the 100 Block businesses host Trick or Treating for our city's young people. In partnership with them Broadway opens the parking lot for courtesy parking to those attending.
In addition, a Halloween carnival is set up in the church Fellowship Hall for families to stop in as they come and go. We feature games, prizes, food, treats, and a photo booth. Gary and Toni will again be in costume and greet kids with treats. Pastor Brian will once again offer a candle lighting table outside the church on the Broadway side of the building.
For those who call Broadway their church home, we are asking for helpful volunteers to give a couple hours of time for this event. Broadway's Student Life Youth will be doing the decorating and set up. On Monday, we need people to host a couple of game tables, greet and offer directions and hospitality at the entrances of the church, and serve food. We also need donations of Halloween candy.
Candy donations can be brought to the church office. To volunteer you may sign up at the Welcome Center desk, or complete the form linked below.
Last year we estimated around 200 costumed young ones and their families visited. One parent commented on their way out, "I wish more places offered things like this." Let's make this year's event just as meaningful for our guests.
