In the past few months a couple of small groups have had conversations around caring for creation and food insecurity solutions. Because Broadway has an established community garden, it seems an efficient way to get some of the shared ideas started. The garden in located within a couple of blocks from the church on Benton Street between Kanesville and Broadway streets.
As we near planting season, we are looking for like minded people to team up and offer our help continuing the community garden and launching new ways it can help feed our neighbors. And, intime you might get tomatoes. If you are interested we will be hosting a planning meeting shortly after Easter. Please contact Teresa (712-322-7741 or teresaf@broadwayunitedmethodist.com) to offer your support and tell us your availability. Or watch for the meeting announcement on the events page, or the Sunday bulletin.
