On Monday, October 27, Broadway United Methodist Church participated in the 100 Block Halloween celebration which brought smiles, laughter, and togetherness to our church family and neighbors. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., families made their way through the church for candy, spooky fun, meaningful reflection, and warm fellowship.

Partnering with businesses on the 100 Block, Broadway UMC welcomed more than 100 families to join in the celebration. Children and adults alike enjoyed games, treats, and a fun photo opportunity — perfect for capturing those creative costumes and Halloween smiles! Upon leaving the church, passersby were invited to light a candle in remembrance of loved ones, offering a gentle moment of peace amid the lively festivities.

A special thanks to the youth for decorating the stairway and the fellowship hall and to Toni and Garry for all their work setting up the photo opportunity. Thanks, too, to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make the event possible — from those who decorated, set up, and cleaned up, to the friendly faces who greeted people with candy and worked the games and activities. Most volunteers even joined in the fun by dressing up in their own spooky (and sometimes silly!) costumes, adding to the joyful atmosphere.

It was wonderful to see our church and community come together for a night of lighthearted fun, reflection, and connection. We look forward to keeping this spirit alive through future events that continue to share Christ’s love — in every season, spooky or not!
