Food insecurity affects many low income families and is a place no one wants to be in, especially those with children. Longfellow elementary has a program in place for giving families small bags of food for those who just need something to help tide them over. The choir gathered items that included: Mac ‘n’ cheese cups, pudding cups, jello cups, granola bars, applesauce cups, and more single serve food items that are child friendly. Melanie Parrish (choir member and teacher at Longfellow) delivered our donations to Longfellow. Parents were grateful for these kid friendly single serving foods (no food wasted!!) that their families can use. We are more than happy to replace as well when supplies get low! Thanks choir!!
