You have been very generous with your donations of school supplies! The ones for Longfellow Elementary School here in Council Bluffs were delivered the first week of school. There are future plans to pack School Kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). If you haven't donated and would like to, we are looking for a couple of items that we are short:
- rulers (12 inches; Both customary & metric markings)
- pencil sharpeners (Larger ones with container that holds shavings)
These school kits will be blessed October 26. On November 1st they will be taken to the Iowa Annual Conference In-Gathering in Greenfield, Iowa. From there these kits will be delivered to children across the country and the world where they are needed.
